O escritor e jornalista Marcelo Moutinho lança neste sábado (14/3), no Rio de Janeiro, o livro “Gentinha”, que marca seu retorno aos contos após seis anos. A obra traz, em 16 narrativas, personagens curiosos que carregam retratos extremamente humanos, com um olhar sensível e atento para o cotidiano brasileiro. O autor fala sobre o prazeroso retorno aos contos.
“Essa volta aos contos está sendo bem interessante. Lancei dois livros de crônicas, uma biografia, alguns infantis nesse período aí dos seis anos. E agora retornar para aquele que foi o gênero com o qual eu iniciei como escritor é uma alegria. Eu acho também que esse livro marca uma certa mudança com relação aos anteriores, uma mudança estilística mais até do que temática, e também esse reencontro com a ficção, né? A ficção mais pura, digamos assim”.
Vencedor do prêmio Jabuti em 2022, na categoria Crônica, com “A Lua na Caixa D’água”, e do prêmio Clarice Lispector 2017 da Fundação Biblioteca Nacional, com o livro de contos “Ferrugem”, o escritor defende que mais importante que premiações é o reconhecimento dos leitores.
“Eu sempre acho que a gente tem que fazer o livro que a gente considera o melhor livro possível, considera que tem a ver com aquilo que você quer expressar naquele momento. Prêmio é consequência. E o conto, talvez não tanto quanto a crônica, a crônica é muito mais marginalizada no sistema de premiação brasileiro, a maioria dos prêmios não tem uma premiação específica para crônica. O conto um pouco menos, mas ainda assim sempre é colocado meio que à sombra do romance. Então eu não alimento grandes expectativas com relação a premiação. Acho que o mais importante do livro é ele ser fiel àquilo que o autor pensou na hora de escrevê-lo. E, de fato, o grande prêmio que a gente tem é a receptividade do leitor”.
Dividido em duas partes, “Dentro de um mundo” e “A verdade não rima”, “Gentinha” percorre cenários que vão dos bairros das periferias a casas da classe média. O autor, que nasceu no subúrbio carioca e já morou em diversas regiões da cidade, carrega para suas histórias um pouco da realidade que conheceu com essas vivências. Tudo isso misturando lirismo, tensão e humor. São histórias de pessoas simples, gente do povo. O autor fala sobre algumas dessas tramas.
“A gente tem, por exemplo, um conto protagonizado por um senhor que vai na feira de São Cristóvão, que é uma feira de concentração nordestina aqui do Rio, cantar Altemar Dutra no karaokê. E um conto de uma moça que adoraria ir para um baile de carnaval e cujo namorado não gosta de carnaval, e ela vai resolver essa folia de uma forma alternativa. A gente tem o conto de dois indivíduos que se fantasiam de Papai Noel para assaltar uma loja perto do período natalino. Como você vê, são personagens bem variados. A gente tem também um ‘bebê gourmet’, né? Um bebê que se revolta com o fato de só tomar mamadeira ou fórmula”.
O lançamento do livro “Gentinha” acontece neste sábado, a partir das duas da tarde, no Alfa Bar e Cultura, espaço que mistura música, gastronomia e venda de livros usados e raros, na Rua do Mercado, no centro do Rio.
